Bannerman Summer Scholarship in Haematology

This scholarship was established in honour of Ron Bannerman OAM, a former Haematology patient who beat the odds to survive a rare form of leukaemia and then went on to raise a tremendous amount of funds to support Haematology Research at Calvary Mater Newcastle. The scholarship is offered through the School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Newcastle, and aims to encourage undergraduate students to pursue a career in research. Students are trained in laboratory methods and spend 6-8 weeks conducting a small laboratory based haematology research project. For more information contact Dr Lisa Lincz, Senior Hospital Scientist, Haematology Research.
