- Home-based models of palliative care
- Palliative care in residential aged care facilities
- Co-design of a model of palliative care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members
- Service redesign and optimisation
- Prognostic models to determine optimal timing of palliative care referral for patients with non-malignant conditions
Key Achievements:
In 2019 the department was awarded $461,101.00 by the Medical Research Future Fund to conduct a clinical trial titled “A randomised controlled trial of a multidisciplinary model of community palliative care to improve patient-centred care in preferred place.”
This trial will be conducted in collaboration with the Hunter Medical Research Institute.
